2025 VFW Department of Nebraska State Convention: A Comedic Recap

Post 9675 Commander and 2024-2025 Past Department of Nebraska Commander

June 6th to 8th, 2025, marked the highly anticipated VFW Department of Nebraska State Convention at the La Vista Convention Center and Courtyard Marriott Hotel. The air was thick with excitement, camaraderie, and enough coffee to fuel a small country.

All State Status for Post 9675

In a stunning twist of fate that even the most optimistic among us didn’t see coming, VFW Post 9675, led by the unstoppable Post Commander Sarah Lively (and her lackey Post Quartermaster Joshua Lively), achieved “All State” status!

As if that wasn’t enough, the delegation from Post 9675 included the dynamic trio of Sarah Lively, Chris Beaty, and Ernie Garcia. The seasoned Past State Commander (Chris) and long-standing Post Commander (Ernie) were on a mission to mentor the "young post commander" (Sarah) in ways that can only be described as both endearing and mildly chaotic.

Here’s to the 2025 VFW Department of Nebraska State Convention, where camaraderie and laughter made for an unforgettable experience! Cheers to Post 9675 and our continued journey of growth, mentorship, and supporting the Veterans of Sarpy County (and beyond).
